Starting in 2024, we wanted to offer our customers, both new and existing, the option to maintain cleaner hard surfaces for longer periods without the need for pressure washing. Pressure washing can be costly, disruptive, and sometimes ineffective at eliminating organic matter such as lichen (black spots), moss, algae, or mould often found on patios.

 

The chemical treatment is applied twice a year, and the benefits include:

 

– The chemical continues to cleanse the areas over 6-month periods, so your areas stay cleaner all round.

– Organic matter is killed off, so no more green on patios, driveways, walls, fences, and more. Pressure washing alone only removes this visually, but the organic spores remain until chemically treated, killing them at the root.

– The chemicals are perfect more sensitive areas like resin and tarmac, which benefit more from soft washing rather than pressure, ensuring no damage to the surface.

– The maintenance chemical is perfect for new or already cleaned areas, ensuring no growth of matter, which is almost guaranteed in the UK climate. Remember, organic matter prospers in damp and shaded areas in particular.

– The maintenance works out cheaper than jet washing, so why pay once 1-2 years for a jet wash when your areas can become green and dirty, when the maintenance chemical can it clean all year round.

– We offer a discount if your neighbour has their areas treated on the same schedule.

– The maintenance process works off tap pressure, so it is quieter, less messy, and overall less disruptive.

 

*Gardens with marine life are not eligible for maintenance treatments.

 

Please note: In most cases, areas do benefit from an initial pressure wash followed by a post-chemical treatment, then ongoing 6-monthly thereafter.

 

Perfect areas for our maintenance treatment:

 

– Newly laid or recently cleaned surfaces (patios, walls, driveways, car parks, and more).

– Roofs (treatment every 3–4 years to guarantee the removal of moss and algae, which can cause damage to your roof tiles).

– Areas with black or white lichen spots. Jet washing won’t always remove these, and for the few that can be removed, the root won’t be killed. Our maintenance chemical kills them at the source.

– Green patios and driveways.

– Areas with little to no drainage.

– School and commercial properties with high footfall where slippery green areas are likely.
